The terms and conditions governing your purchase, manufacturing and installation of SMH Glazing products.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SMH Glazing website and your purchase of uPVC windows, doors and related manufacturing/installation services ("Services") from SMH Glazing ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quotation, placing an order, or otherwise engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with an order.
SMH Glazing manufactures, supplies and installs uPVC casement windows, sliding windows, sliding doors, and openable/French doors. We also retail these products directly through our showroom and website. Product specifications, colours and finishes described on our website are representative; minor variations may occur due to manufacturing processes or screen display differences.
Quotations provided via our website, phone, or during a site visit are estimates based on the information available at that time and are typically valid for 15 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing is confirmed only after an on-site measurement and written order confirmation. Prices are subject to change based on site conditions, material specifications, or design revisions made after the initial quote.
An order is confirmed only upon receipt of the agreed advance payment and a signed order confirmation/work order. Standard payment terms are:
| Stage | Payment |
|---|---|
| Order confirmation | 50% advance |
| Before dispatch to site | 40% |
| On completion of installation | 10% balance |
Exact payment schedules may vary by order size and will be specified in your order confirmation. We accept payments via bank transfer, UPI, and other methods communicated at the time of booking.
Manufacturing begins only after final site measurements are confirmed and the order advance is received. Typical lead times range from 10–21 working days depending on order size, profile system, and glass specification; exact timelines will be communicated at the time of order confirmation. Delays caused by force majeure events, custom material sourcing, or site-access issues are outside our control and may extend the timeline.
Installation is carried out by our trained in-house teams or authorised installation partners. The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and clear access to the installation site, removal of existing fixtures (unless removal is included in the order scope), and availability of electricity/water at site if required. Any structural modifications required due to site conditions discovered during installation may incur additional charges, which will be communicated before proceeding.
SMH Glazing provides a standard 10-year warranty on uPVC profiles and hardware against manufacturing defects, subject to normal use and proper maintenance. The warranty does not cover:
Warranty claims should be raised through our Contact page along with your order/invoice details.
Orders may be cancelled free of charge prior to the commencement of manufacturing. Once manufacturing has begun, cancellations may be subject to a deduction covering material and labour costs already incurred, deducted from the advance paid. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 15–30 business days to the original payment method. Custom-fabricated products, once manufactured, are generally non-refundable except in cases of confirmed manufacturing defects.
To ensure smooth order fulfilment, customers are expected to:
